Star Electronics repair business website

Overview

Star Electronics is a local electronics business offering repair, accessories, and trade-ins. I worked across both business operations and technology — supporting the store day to day while helping shape and improve its digital presence.

The problem

A business that depended on its local presence needed a stronger digital one.

Digital presence

The company needed a modern website that represented the business credibly online.

Clarity for customers

Potential customers needed an easy way to understand the services the business offers.

Customer acquisition

Growth depended on reaching new customers through online channels, not just walk-ins and word of mouth.

My role

Business operations meets technology.

My work spanned both sides of the business — as Assistant Manager supporting day-to-day operations, and as the person responsible for its technology and digital growth.

  • Website development
  • Digital advertising
  • Customer acquisition initiatives
  • Supporting the business as Assistant Manager

What I built

The company website.

  • Creates clearer calls to action for potential customers
  • Supports customer acquisition through online channels

Growth & digital advertising

Reaching local customers — and converting online interest into calls and store visits.

Alongside the website, I ran digital advertising focused on local customers, turning online attention into measurable foot traffic and phone calls.

50%

Increase in customer calls

20%

Increase in walk-in traffic

Impact

Connecting digital work to real outcomes.

The website gave the business a credible digital home; the advertising gave it reach. Together, they turned online attention into measurable business outcomes — more customer calls and more people walking into the store.

This project is where I first saw clearly how technical and marketing decisions translate directly into business results.

What I learned

Technology only matters if it creates value.

Technical decisions are business decisions

Every choice about what to build and how to build it had a direct effect on whether customers found and chose the business.

Start with the customer

Understanding what potential customers needed to see and understand shaped both the website and the advertising.

Balance technology with operations

Digital work had to fit around day-to-day business operations — the two had to support each other, not compete.

Measure what matters

The value of digital initiatives is in the outcomes they create — calls, visits, and customers — not the tools behind them.
